Yes, tagging is our current solution to filtering, categorizing and searching across your contact base. Tags can be applied individually or at the group level on the list page. Once applied, you can filter the Dashboard on any tag or search across your tags. We have plenty more planned for this feature in the future, including the ability for Gist to auto-suggest tags and to share contacts our to your co-workers or colleagues by specifying a tag.
